Mimi on Easter 2008

Mimi and I had a fun time when she was here. We went to the zoo and played in the yard. She read books to me and we played games.

One More Time

This is our most recent family photo. We took it on Easter Sunday, 2008. Mimi was in town and she took the picture. Henry was adorable in his little easter outfit and even more adorable at Mass. He went to the nursery for most of the mass, but when we were told that after the priest exited the choir would sing an encore of the Hallelujah Chours, we went to get him so he could hear it. Without missing a beat, literally in timing the closing rhythm of the music, at the end of the last chorus, Henry shouts out "One more time!" I laughed for days.

This January, my Grandpa Rocky played with me on the floor in the basement. We played with the farm house and the jack-in-the box. I saw a big snow storm and stepped in 6 inches of snow in Mimi and Rocky's back yard. I didn't like it at first, and then I started to have a little fun.

Henry Sings his ABCs--almost....

Over the last month, Henry has become more interested in the ABC song....then, all of the sudden today after coming home from school, Henry was sitting in the office with his Daddy and began to sing the ABCs. He misses a couple of letters along the way and Q-V, but he is well on his way to knowing his alphabet! Yes, Nanny, Mimi, Rory, Nana, D, Papa, and Granpa Rocky, we got it all on videotape just for you. :)

Joining the 21st Century

Okay, we are going to try to join the 21st Century and keep you all more informed on our lives. Or, rather, on Henry's life, since we know that he is the one you really want to know about :). I don't promise we will post daily; we will be lucky to post weekly. Know that we miss you and love you. Here is our latest.

Henry still amazes us with the words, phrases, and sentences that he picks up daily. His latest phrase is "NO WAY!!!!" He uses it all the time. He is facinated by anything that has moving parts, loves playing hide an seek, riding on a back, or jumping from spoto to spot. He loves the outdoors and plays often in his sandbox or in the garden with us. He still talks about the Pelicans that he saw with his great-grandmother, Nanny over Christmas. He talks about how they "dive, dive in the water." We went to the zoo for the first time this season, as the weather is starting to warm up and the days are brighter and longer. He ran around screaming the animals names out--"Zebra! Elephant! Giraffe! Hippo! Tiger! Rargghhh! Lion!" He is a trip....He turns 2 on April 19th and we are having a party on that day--Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. If you happen to be in Fort Worth--We'd love to see you.

I am still teaching part-time and Chairing the reaccreditation process at my school. We have planted some of our garden and look forward to the next few months and then the Summer.

I am going to try to attach some recent photos to this email. Love you all! Lisa
